Hey guys! I'm terribly sorry I have not been able to post for another while but I had exams and lots of stuff and wanted to search for something to make a really good post. I just noticed that summer is arriving (tgis) and white is the perfect colour for a day or an evening at the beach! Here, in Spain it is the "Ibiza colour" as lots of people wear it during the summer (because it does not make you hot, which explains why most houses in Spain are white as white reflects sun rays)

Me doy cuenta de que el verano casi ha llegado (al fin) y el blanco es el color perfecto para una mañana o una noche playera así que todas ibicencas!

Llevo los pantalones de mi novio

Por fin! Un post sobre una de las prendas más de moda este año, y probablemente la más controvertida. Probablemente todas se han preguntado al menos una vez si  deberían comprar los boyfriend jeans o por lo menos probárselos a ver que tal.

Los boyfriend jeans fueron introducidos por algunas marcas como Gap o H & M hace algún tiempo. Otros artículos como los blazers boyfriend o sudaderas con capucha "sueltas" se pusieron en el mercado. La idea era que las chicas usaran ropa parecida a la de los chicos, más grande y casual.

Sólo para que quede claro. Boyfriend jeans no son VAQUEROS DE HOMBRE. Están diseñados para la forma femenina, pero se inspiran en los pantalones de hombre. Si no fuera así quedarían amorfos. Así que si te has comprados unos pantalones de hombre en ZARA y no parecen boyfriend, es porque no son iguales.

Las imágenes son un look que creo que se verá muy bien con los boyfriend jeans. Personalmente no creo que los boyfriend jeans se ven bien con ropa muy elegante.


Creo que se ven muy bien con cuñas y una camisa o blusa pero no con tacones y chaqueta de Valentino. Supongo que depende de la persona. Sigue tu instinto

Ha habido muchas controversias porque algunas personas piensan que hacen que las niñas quieran ser extremadamente delgadas. Como están basados en pantalones de chico, que tienen una cintura y piernas más estrechas que las nuestras, se comentó la posibilidad de que las chicas dejaran de comer para que les quedasen bien


Esto no es cierto. Personalmente no tengo piernas delgadas y se ven bien en mí. Están hechos para las chicas y nadie espera que tengas piernas delgadas para llevarlos.

Me gustan porque son cómodos y se ven mejor con las camisetas cortas, todo tipo de zapatos (incluso botas de tacón alto). Pídelos por Navidad si te convencen.

Creo que este conjunto quedaría bien con los boyfriend jeans de ahora. Es muy hipster y cómodo y las botas hacen que tenga una cierta elegancia.

I wear my boyfriend's jeans

At last! A post about one of the most trendy clothes this year, and probably the most controversial one. Probably all of you would have wondered at least once if you should buy the boyfriend jeans or have at least tried them on.

The boyfriend jeans were introduced by some brands as Gap or H&M some time ago. Other items such as the boyfriend blazers or hoodies were put into the market. The idea was for girls to wear and borrow their boyfriends clothes, with looked loose and casual. 

Just to make it clear. Boyfriend jeans are not MEN'S JEANS. They are still designed for the female form, but are inspired on men's trousers. If they weren't they would look hideous. So if you bought some Urban Outfitter's men jeans and are still thinking why they don't look right, those are not boyfriend jeans. If you look closely you will see that boyfriend jeans usually have a high waist and are shorter so they fit well.

The images are posted are a look that I think will look fine with the boyfriend jeans. As you can see they are sporty, casual clothes. Personally I don't believe boyfriend jeans look good with very elegant clothes.

I think that they look great with wedges and a shirt or blouse but not with heels and Valentino blazer's. I guess that it just how you see yourself in it. If you feel good go for it, although I think it won't look proper (too much contrast between no-big-deal pants and i-am-tres-chic-wait-what-is-chic clothes).

There has been many controversy because some people think they make girls became extremely thin. As they are originally designed for boys, which have way thinner legs than us, they make girls feel they have to have much thinner legs in order to look well in them.

This is not true. Personally I don't have thin legs and hey look good in me. They are made for girls and no one expects you to have thin legs to wear them.

I like them because they are comfy and look amazing with short tees, all type of shoes (even high heeled boots). Ask Santa for them (they are a bit more expensive than normal jeans).

It's called "class", bitches

What do yo think about this style? The velvet blue top (matches the necklace) gives a touch of elegance and sexiness. The shoes and pants make it more casual. The cardigan is very cosy and looks amazing with it. It contrasts with the tight top because it is so loose. The beanie and the shoes also give it a no-big-deal-thing.

I just love it because it does not look too elegant or too casual, it just gets the right balance.

Qué pensais sobre este conjunto? El top en tonos medianoche de terciopelo (a conjunto con el collar) le da un toque muy sexy y elegante. Los zapatos y pantalones, sin embargo le dan un toque más casual. El cardigan es muy calentito y queda perfecto a pesar de que parezca menos desenfadado que el resto del conjunto. Contrasta mucho con el color oscuro y lo ceñido que es el top, ya que es todo lo contrario. La "beanie" y los zapatos terminan de darle un estilo hipster.

Me encanta este conjunto porque no es ni demasiado elegante o muy casual y resulta muy "ponible" con todo tipo de cosas.

THEM BEANIES

You know Brandy Melville, the amazing "California style" clothing line? It is one of my favorite clothing brands because I absolutely love it's style, so casual and that looks awesome. And I want to say something about it because recently it has been heavily criticised for its "One size fits all" labels. The clothes are designed for skinny girls and that can cause severe health problems because some of them may think they are too fat to wear the clothes they like.

This may sound harsh but they are not going to change their clothes because some people complain. They have a good business going on there and they have the image of "clothes for slim girls". There are lots of other brands that sell amazing clothes and you do not need Brandy to feel cool or special even if that is the image they want you to have. But don't change your body to fit into their clothes PLEASE.


Well I just love the beanies because they  look great with coats, boots and scarfs in winter or with boyfriend jeans and tees and converse in summer (very hipster like). They can look great and

give a very sassy look. And the messages look right for many of us girls "BITCH DON'T KILL MY VIBE" seriously we have all thought about this when you face the typical stupid "cool" girl. Or "ALIENS EXIST" (if you think they exist you can wear it on a beanie babe). They are about 16 dollars and have lot's of messages on them from "Gypsy" to old typical "Los Angeles", "Rolling with the homies" or if you feel more radical and different "Rebel" or "Stay Weird".

If you like them don't be scared to wear them. Remember that staying weird is better than staying "normal".

Vintage, Starbucks y Gafas de Pasta

 Probablemente al oír estas tres palabras lo que se os venga a la cabeza sea: Hipster. Un movimiento o moda que comenzó hace un par de años. La imagen que tiene la gente de los hipsters es que llevan gafas de pasta, ropa vintage y pasan la mayor parte de su tiempo en Starbucks, que cuenta con wifi gratis y es ideal para subir las mil fotos que se han hecho con la "canon" a tumblr. Es bastante equivocado si nadie conoce la historia completa porque, a ver, pobres hipsters, ni son unos obsesos del wifi, ni se pintan bigotes para hacerse fotos.

La cultura hipster se aferra a un estilo de vida alternativo, que está muy bien en esta sociedad en la que todos somos muy monótonos. Lo digo porque hace un par de meses estuve en Los Ángeles y veía a la gente vestir de manera muy "rara" pero luego pensé que en España todos vestimos igual (Zara es el cielo de la ropa, y últimamente se está volviendo bastante más carillo, y estamos en crisis, así que...) y que si esas personas se sienten bien vistiendose de manera diferente deben seguir su propio estilo y mandar a ****** a los que piensen lo contrario. Perdón, que estoy divagando y esto es un blog sobre moda y tal.

Para las personas que estén pensando en seguir este estilo, yo les diría que lo pensasen bien. Si eres alguien que siempre te has sentido un poco al margen, te gusta la música antigua, y no piensas como el "mainstream" (la mayoría de la gente) este estilo te va bastante bien.

En cuanto al vestir (porfin llega). Algunos hipsters llevan ropa muy vintage, mientras que otros prefieren lo moderno.


MODERNGOTH

Los hipsters más jóvenes (los "tumblr") suelen llevar tonos oscuros, granates y negros sobretodo. Los vestidos babydoll (de falda con vuelo) son populares entre las chicas, así como las zapatillas Vans. Llevan pequeñas "backpacks" o mochilitas, y bastantes colgantes. Estos elementos combinan perfectamente y dan un aire bastante desenfadado y con clase. Recomiendo la ropa de Brandy Melville, American Apparel o Forever 21

TOTAL VINTAGE

El estilo original hipster es mucho más "a la antigua". Estos JAMÁS los verás con "backpacks", sino con mochilas estilo "mensajero" cruzadas por delante. Las botas country y los chalecos de cuero también son populares, así como los vaqueros estilo años ochenta, . En las chicas, el hipster "vintage" no se diferencia mucho de otro, ya que ambos usan los shorts de tiro alto y los "crop tops" como imprescindibles en el verano. En los chicos se diferencia más en que los más modernos llevan camisetas con grupos de música, skinny jeans y vans, mientras que los vintage suelen llevar camisas de cuadros, y prendas de cuero (ya sean zapatos, chalecos de cuero...). En el mercadillo de Camden Town se encuentran chollazos (shorts de Levis a 15 libras) pero también hay marcas como Hollister o Converse
